Enterprise Speaker Series: “How to be Curious in the Age of AI”
On 12th October 2026, Enterprise@APU hosted a session emphasizing on curiosity and the ability to maintain the thirst for knowledge in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The open forum introduced students to the idea of West to East entrepreneur, combining distinct cultures and strategic business philosophies from initiative driven entrepreneur to institutional trust-centred entrepreneurship.
The invited speakers are Mr Tarek Nader and Mr Farhan Ahmedoglu. Through their insight, students were encouraged to reflect on how artificial intelligence is changing traditional approaches to learning, problem-solving, and innovation, while considering the opportunities and challenges that come with these developments.
During the discussion, the speakers highlighted that although AI tools can provide answers within seconds, the ability to ask meaningful questions remains an essential human skill. Curiosity encourage users to achieve meaningful outcomes from looking beyond solutions and attempting new alternatives.
Beyond the use of technology, the forum also emphasised the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. As AI continues to reshape industries and the future of work, students must be willing to explore unfamiliar areas, experiment with new ideas. Developing curiosity allows individuals to remain open-minded, recognise emerging opportunities, and approach challenges with a willingness to discover new solutions from educational sectors to the workforce.
The speakers also encouraged students to view AI as a tool to support their thinking rather than a replacement for independent thought. By combining technological capabilities with creativity, critical thinking, and human judgement, individuals can make more informed decisions and develop innovative approaches to real-world problems. The discussion highlighted that the true value of AI lies not only in the answers it provides, but also in how people use those answers to generate further questions and ideas.
