Our last APU Entrepreneurship Council (AEC) meeting was an engaging session full of fresh ideas and exciting updates. Here’s a quick snapshot!
The APU Entrepreneurship Council (AEC) had a fruitful convention on February 19, 2025. We saw new additions to the council from industry leaders, startup founders and representatives from government agencies to share thoughts and wisdoms on entrepreneurship.
A recap into year 2024 saw achievements and milestones made by Enterprise@APU team, some of which included series of talks, workshops and accelerator programs, involving multiple engagements with local and international partners. There is encouraging trends and interest in university entrepreneurship whereby we continue to see new startups emerging on campus. This demonstrate APU’s commitment to supporting student-led ventures, ensuring they have the skills and support system for their startup career.

Another highlight topic was on social entrepreneurship and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives, in which APU has taken measures in the form of ESG-focused trainings and teachings aligned to the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). There was discussion on role of AI in shaping the future of entrepreneurship and use of AI for teaching and learning, for instance, grading systems and industry projects.
The council members concluded the session looking forward to more engagements and collaboration opportunities in fostering entrepreneurial culture at APU.
