Bite-Sized Workshop: Mobile Application Development

On 20th February 2025, Enterprise@APU hosted its second instalments of Bite-Sized Workshop: Mobile Application Development, allowing participants to discover and learn the application of several platforms such as VS Studio, Flutter and Firebase. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Amad Arshad designed for beginner-friendly learning, utilizing the use of different platforms to develop mobile application. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the basics of building a mobile application while simultaneously equipping participants with entry-level skills on utilizing mobile application creation software.
Mr. Amad Arshad is a recognized Educator with a master’s in computer science, alongside his expertise in mobile application development, Network designing Data Centres and so on. His skills and intellect as an AWS Academy Accredited Instructor had been proven effective in bringing knowledge and engagement among the participants. His straight-forward approach of teaching has made the session easy to follow along.

Mr. Amad was concise regarding the steps of developing a mobile application and provided informative insights regarding each element that encompasses the topic. He explained terminologies used while giving logical explanation regarding its relevancy. for instance, explanation of firebase the hidden complexities of backend coding, and the correlation of frontend to backend coding. Mr. Amad also provided participants with study and reference materials which made the process of coding in VS Studio beginner friendly.

The participants completed the workshop with a strong foundation on practical application of mobile app development tools and took home a generous list of reference materials that may be used to further improve their individual skill in programming and visualisation.
