Enterprise Speaker Series: “Future Proofing Your Career: The Power of Digital Skills in the Energy Industry”

On 17th April 2025, Enterprise@APU proudly hosted the Enterprise Speaker Series: “Future-Proofing Your Career: The Power of Digital Skills in the Energy Industry”. The speaker Ms. Wiwin Yuliana, Digital Manager for East Asia at SLB, delivered a powerful talk on how digital transformation is reshaping the energy sector, and how individuals can stay ahead by embracing it.

Ms. Wiwin emphasized that success in the real world starts with an open mindset, a willingness to evolve from the foundations built at university and adapt to the rapidly shifting demands of industry. Drawing parallels between student competitions and hackathons and real-world innovation cycles, she highlighted how the spirit of continuous experimentation and learning remains essential throughout one’s career. 

In the energy sector, technology is at the forefront of change. From artificial intelligence to cloud computing and data analytics, companies like SLB are revolutionizing how energy is accessed, managed, and delivered, aiming not only for operational performance but also for sustainability and efficiency.
