Echoes of Victory in the ESTECH 2023

A mindset of young CEOs and commitment to rider safety pays off in first place finish at X-Factor Challenge. Their story shows that young APU entrepreneurs can make a difference in the world, even if they are just starting out.

Team ECHO from Enterprise@APU won the Young CEO X-Factor Challenge, one of the tracks in the Engineering, Science and Technology Challenge 2023 (ESTECH 2023) organised by Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) on 23rd and 24th August 2023.

ASBX Business Challenge x Lazada Malaysia

(SME.asia, July 2023) Fourteen students from the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) have been announced as the Lazada Malaysia x APU ASBX Business Challenge winners.

The competition was designed to foster greater entrepreneurial spirit and business-oriented analytical thinking among the students, while providing them with a deeper understanding of the e-commerce industry.

Bett Asia’s Leadership Summit in partnership with Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Thailand, is the global meeting place for educators — leaders from schools, universities, and education systems, including ministries — and the technology community, all working to create a better future by transforming education. Bukit Bintang, eyeing the vision of developing it into a “Greater Bukit Bintang”, is one of the top commercial and entertainment districts in Kuala Lumpur and is a hive of activity bustling with malls, restaurants, bars, and hotels. Thriving and growing as they are, these businesses also face problems and challenges that require solutions towards making the golden triangle and beyond one of the most liveable cities by 2057.

APU Students Raising Funds for Charity While Sharpening Their Entrepreneurial Skills on Campus

At the recently held Venture Day Carnival 2022, members of nine student clubs and societies at APU learned and experienced venturing into small businesses as well as sharpening their entrepreneurial skills on campus, by putting up a day full of fun activities such as games, performances, an escape room and a wide variety of food and beverages stalls serving all visitors.

Cross-Border University Collaborations Enhance Entrepreneurship Skills

In line with the National Entrepreneurship Policy (NEP), a long-term strategy for Malaysia to become an outstanding entrepreneurial nation by 2030, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) further expanded its Experiential Entrepreneurship Education by collaborating with nine universities in ASEAN and Africa, to build capacity in supporting start-up and spin-out companies, as well as to exchange knowledge and skills among faculty.

The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Agreement signed by Datuk Parmjit Singh, CEO of APU, and representatives from the nine universities in a virtual ceremony held 10 March, witnessed by Prof. Ir.
